Fan Control works on 10.7

I've teste Fan Control on Mac OS X Lion with my MacbookPro 3,1 and it works as expected. However, before I installed it (in a fresh Lion install) the fan speed was stuck on 2000 rpm (the normal minimum). The CPU temperature increased to 76 degrees by the time I had installed Fan Control, then it took over and the fan speed increased. This may be caused by either a bug in Lion or the fact that I have Fan Control installed on my Snow Leopard installation and it had somehow not closed properly.
